Hello Gabriel. Thank you for your question.
The EQ map is measuring the quality of the brain signal for each sensor, and it takes into account movement, noise, signal amplitude, and many other parameters that make it much more sensitive. It is totally normal for the EQ to flicker and it DOES take time for the signal to settle, so adjust each sensor individually, sit still and wait patiently for 3-5 seconds. If the signal flickers green at any point, it’s likely the signal is good, but it is imperative to sit still to see if it maintains the green.
It is expected that the EQ signal will flicker – this is an indication that we are detecting movement, noise, or other interferences that mean the brain signal is not perfect. To reiterate, it behaves very differently to CQ and it is NOT expected to remain steady at all moments in the recording, particularly if people are not sitting still, even if they are just moving their eyebrows or shifting gaze, that’s still muscle movement.
You can refer to this link for more information about our CQ and EQ.
Hello Jose, Thank you for your question. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please send an email to support@emotiv.com so we can further assist. We look forward to your follow-up.
<div>Hello Hao,</div>
<div></div>
<div>We appreciate your interest in our EmotivPRO suite. EmotivPRO comes with a comprehensive research toolkit that enables you to design and build your own experiments, publish <wbr />experiments locally, remotely, or publicly to our certified neuroscience community, acquire participant data, and then record real-time data streams, including raw EEG, performance metrics, FFT, and motion data. You can then export data quickly and easily into CSV or EDF files for further analysis. You can also use our cloud computing analyzer to effortlessly post-process data to analyze your data. All these features are available on Student PRO license.</div>
<div>You can watch this video to learn how the data is shown in the EmotivPRO app, and for more details on the EmotivPRO capabilities, please refer to this User manual.</div>
