I’ve installed the .deb in Raspbian 10 (buster) and the cortex service doesn’t start.

If I try to execute the CortexService binary directly, it gives the following error:

qt.service.service: No backend found for the name “standard”

I found someone else facing a similar problem with different software here:

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/69954863/understand-backend-in-qtservice

So I tried copying /usr/local/emotivapps/plugins/servicebackends/* to /usr/local/emotivapps/bin/ but it does the same.

    Any ideas?

    And if I try

    ./CortexService –backend systemd

    I get

qt.service.service: No backend found for the name “systemd”

    Thanks, that worked!

I was using the 2021-05-07 version of Rasbian Buster and downgraded to the 2020-02-13 version to fix this issue, for anyone searching for this in the future.

    Hey ,g
I’m trying to connect the headset directly to my raspberry pi.

Documentation only talks about remote connection. did you managed to do this?

I’m currently downloading the cortex file for raspberry pi  (takes forever for some reason),
and if it won’t work I’ll downgrade the raspbian version to 10 as you said.

    what else should I do?
I would appreciate any assistance with it (davidg006@gmail.com), if you could contact me for direct chat 🙂
