Hello! Thank you for your question. For raw EEG access in Cortex, you will need a paid license. PRO Lite version will not allow access to raw EEG using Cortex.

Hello Markham,
Thank you for your post.
To control something with the brain, we suggest using Mental Commands. The Performance Metrics are not suitable for this task.
Second, the user should do some mental command training in EmotivBCI software first, and then test their skill with the 3D cube.
We have some advices in the BCI user manual for this.

Hello Raymond,
Thank you for your question.
We use Hamilton’s form – the same as commonly used in computer graphics packages.
q0 is the real part. Note we use normalised quaternions (sum of squares = 1)Please feel free to message us if you need anything else.
Hello Gualini,
Thank you for your question.
The science for measuring brain activity or EEG has been used for many years, since 1930 and is considered a safe and painless procedure. The actual data recoding and tests causes no discomfort. The electrodes record activity. They do not produce any sensation. It’s a passive data collection, no electricity is put into your body and no signals being sent to your brain while it’s carried out. Our products are fully certified for safety and wireless interference standards in Europe, Australia and North America and are fully CE-marked, which means it has been assessed by independent bodies for safety. You may refer to this link for the Safety Precausions of INSIGHT.
If you have other questions, please feel free to message back.
Hello Choi,
Q is a rotational measure, expressed as a normalised quaternion. Quaternions are frequently used in 3-D modelling and game engines. They are unit-less numbers

Hello LeBien Jack,
Thank you for your questions. Please refer to the manual of INSIGHT on storing the headset.
The hole in the back of the sensor is not for the fluid.
Hello Quio Su. EPOC X has no output port. The USB port is used for charging, reprogramming the device or connection ONLY to Emotiv Extender, which can pass the data over an isolated USB stream. The receiving device needs to have Cortex installed to decrypt the data packets. Hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.
