I wanted to ask if, either through software or hardware, Emotiv takes into account the possible interference of Slow Alpha (4 to 6 Hz) and Fast Alpha (16 to 20 Hz) harmonics with Theta (4 to 8 Hz) and Beta (13 to 30 Hz) waves.

(I know the Hz ranges can vary depending on the studies/papers consulted, but these are roughly the most commonly used.)

I’d like to know if the devices or the Emotiv Pro Analyzer platform (or other software) can filter them out in any way, or at least detect them.

I base my question on what Oriano Mecarelli (2019) wrote in his report “Normal Awake EEG Patterns” from the Italian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology (Sapienza University of Rome).

I am attaching a link to the PDF of the paper:

If anyone knows more about the topic, I’d be grateful to see responses and clarifications/corrections, as I’m relatively new to this topic.
