EMOTIV Forum acceptable use policy

The purpose of this document is to clarify what we consider to be an acceptable use of the EMOTIV Forum (the forum).
The following rules apply to everyone using the forum.

 

Be friendly and be respectful to others.

• Engage with others in the EMOTIV Community in a constructive way – Everyone using the forum will have different knowledge, experience, and backgrounds. It is OK to disagree with someone, but please be civil, considerate, and respectful to other posters.
• No harassment and bullying – Abusive behavior and bullying directed towards anyone using the EMOTIV Forum are not allowed. Repeated and unwanted contact is a form of harassment. Post content cannot contain threats to others or advocate violence.
• No hate speech – EMOTIV Forum is a place for civil discourse. Content that attacks an individual or group based on race, gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity, politics, sexual orientation will not be tolerated.

 

Respect the rights of others

• Intellectual Property and Personal Rights – Do not post content that infringes any intellectual property or personal rights of another party. Content taken from another source should be appropriately attributed and block quoted.

 

Respect the EMOTIV Forum

• No Spam – Do not use the EMOTIV Forum to post or attract spam.
• No Malicious or Illegal Activity – Do not contribute viruses, malware, and other malicious programs or engage in activity that harms or interferes with the operation of the EMOTIV Forum or seeks to circumvent security or authentication measures. Do not use the EMOTIV Forum to engage in an unlawful activity or to promote illegal acts.

 

Reporting problems and moderating the forum

• Reporting Problems – If you see something on the forum that you believe violates the acceptable use policy, please report it to us via email at forum@emotiv.com
• Moderation of the forum – The EMOTIV Forum is moderated by EMOTIV. If your content violates the acceptable use policy, it will be removed and you will be blocked from using the forum.

The moderators team should check, especially the General forum, it is full of spam, Advertising scams and links of dubious intent.

It would also be nice if Emotiv team tried to answer real users’ questions.
Or at least leave a stipulated response date, a waiting period, so we users know approximately when we’ll get a response.
